Sally Williams, Ph.D.

 

Sally Williams has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Capella University. Her dissertation research study examined cognitive motivational learning strategies of economically disadvantaged community college students. She holds a Masters of Science Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems. She is certified to instruct: Franklin Covey FOCUS Time Management systems; Meyers Briggs 16 Type Indicator; Inside/Out Coaching and Breakthrough Performance programs.

Her entrepreneurial background includes providing business consulting services to for-profit and nonprofit organizations, which has given her a broad spectrum of experience in leadership development, scientific assessment instruments, strategic planning, seminar facilitation and keynote speaking. She works with Employee Assistance Programs as an independent contractor, offering specialized OD/Educational psychology consultation and training solution services.


By strategically partnering with her client's Human Resource teams, Dr. Williams has successfully developed and implemented progressive disciplinary intervention programs that promote positive employee retention and higher revenues.  She coaches executives and their staff to increase communication skills fostering team cohesiveness and effective conflict resolutions. She enjoys working with individuals and teams to find practical solutions to behavioral challenges.


With over fifteen years experience in adult vocational/soft skills teaching, and curriculum development, Dr.Williams designs, facilitates and evaluates educational training programs for efficiency. As an adult college psychology educator, she has worked oversees, aboard the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier instructing US Navy sailors enrolled in the NCPACE program. She currently serves as an adjunct online instructor for the University of Phoenix.

 

As the project manager of the Transportation Career Academy Program (TCAP), a high school internship program for one of the largest transportation organizations in Southern California, she was responsible for providing and managing annual internships for 11th and 12th grade students of five inner-city schools.  Successful results included managing an $80,000 budget, graduating and transferring qualified high school students to the organization’s college internship program.
